Stretchable solar cells developed at Stanford
A stretchy type of solar cell has been developed by researchers at Stanford University. Primarily, the solar cells are expected to power a new “Super Skin” that is also in development.

Paper watches are a relatively new addition to wrist adornment. Altanus advertises that it has produced the first paper watch in the world. Well, maybe not. Rocket Innovations is offering “patented paper LCD watches” for promotional purposes i.e. as promo giveaways with printed company logos.

Shoes are not what most people think of when Tyvek is mentioned. Sheathing for houses and buildings, envelops and some protective wear but not shoes. Unstitched Utilities, the collaboration of three recovering corporate workers saw the material and thought “shoes”.
Zegna creates a high tech solar jacket for men
Environmentally responsible clothing can mean anything. It could mean that it is made from organic cotton, hemp or bamboo. In this case, Zegna has created the Ecotech Solar Jacket from its Zegna Sport line of clothing. All the materials used in the jacket are made from recycled plastic bottles. The company calls this process “Ecotech”. The jacket is not only made out of recycled plastic material but has detachable solar panels. It also has a nifty warming unit in the neck and a pocket for hooking your small electronics to a recharging cable. Of course Zegna has only designed this jacket for men. Women apparently don’t need such things.
