Green jobs are easier to find using Green Job Spider

Green jobs are easier to find using Green Job Spider Green Job Spider has made finding a job in the green sector much less complicated.  The site has the usual “jobseekers/employee finder” features of other sites like Monster.com but only serves eco-friendly companies and jobseekers by combining the job offerings on other green job sites.

The site was created by Chris Russell in the anticipation that the number of  jobs available in this sector is going to explode within the next few years.

“The time is right for a service of this kind” says Chris Russell, the site’s founder. “Green jobs are growing and the current method of finding them is too fragmented”

According to Green Job Spider, there are over 50 green job boards from which its crawler will pull employment opportunities.  The crawler will pull together jobs in all areas of the green sector from solar to biofuels, The listings go from entry level tech to management so there are lots of opportunities for all levels of job seekers.  The site has global job listings for a variety of positions so you aren’t limited to just the United States.

Employers and recruiters can post jobs directly to the site for a monthly subscription fee.  Their job feeds will be “indexed through an XML feed, RSS or spidered via web page.”  Green Job Spider has a set of green criteria that every employer and recommended job site has to meet.  Fourteen web sites have passed those criteria and can be found here.

For those who need more help with seeking a job, Green Job Spider has a blog that will provide the latest news in the green sector, tips on how to get an  job with an eco-friendly company and where to find the latest opportunities.  The site has videos as well on all of the previous topics.  Podcasts are available from the blog or from iTunes.

The full service aspect of this site is appealing.  You can find a job/employee while getting the latest news and information on all things green.  Great touch.
